Chris Burnley was appointed to the College Pension Board of Trustees in September 2023 by the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators of BC.

Chris has been a professor in the Faculty of Management at Vancouver Island University for more than 20 years.

Chris is a fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC). He has more than a decade of experience serving on boards and contributing to the effective governance of regional, provincial and national organizations. This includes serving on the board of CPABC, Vancouver Island University, the Canadian Academic Accounting Association and the CPABC Education Foundation. Chris has completed the Institute of Corporate Director’s Not-for-Profit Governance Essentials Program.

Chris is an accounting academic and the author of two leading financial accounting texts.
